There was a time on exposure's board...

That everyone guarded their ideas and scripts with the most cunning ways to protect it from other board members commenting, thinking, criticising, stealing from it. But from what i see now, everyone's a bit more relaxed about showing each other their work and asking for feedback.

Just a general observation.

I too agree, where have all the film making questions gone , wheres all the interesting stuff gone ?

another script on the board wohoo, does anyone actually bother to read them ? what is the point too ? and notice how plenty of scripts popping up but no one asking stuff about breakdowns shot lists etc etc

I'm still fairly new here but it's definitely become a less interesting place in the last few months...

Don't know what the answer is though - I don't have any film making questions myself either - at the moment.

Chance: I was actually thinking it was a good thing that people were letting their guards down a tad. I remember some threads that were basically saying

"fuck off, don't ask me for ideas because they're all for myself"

and being so defensive is rather stupid at this level.

On the flipside is that filmmaking questions are not comming up much so what does that say?? everyone's getting on fine? No one's doing much filming?

twister! im like you - rather new - but since november i have noticed that technical questions about film making have gone - its like this board has transformed into a a "best of" a "the best blah" and "top 10 blahs films" - it fucks me off big time cause i feel i have to respond because its expected of me, or i will seem less 'film-maker' like if i have not seen all the fucking lynch films or sumthin. i dig films - but i dont study film theory/history - i love the practical side of makin them, im sure you all prefer to make movies instead of writing 10,000 word crits on them, and thats where i think this board is heading... to counter that, id say there are still some threads that bear relevance... or maybe im just tired / drunk to think straight
